In August 2011, several attacks occurred in the remote village of Jol-Teshak (Riyom LGA). Members of the nomadic Fulani tribe and partly also of the police launched night attacks on the Christian village of Jol-Teshak. They killed the husbands of Rose Elisha, Lyop Zaka and Christiana Joshua.
The village of Jol-Teshak is no exception. During last September alone, over 100 Christians were killed in Plateau State. As a matter of urgency, we call on you to have these cowardly murders of Christians investigated and the murderers brought to justice. Moreover, we urgently request you to ensure greater security for Christian village communities in Plateau State.
