We are very concerned about the sentencing of six Christian brothers of the Morris Ghatas family from Port Said on January 22, 2009 to three years’ labour camp imprisonment and a fine of over 2,100 dollars. They were running a coffee shop at daytime during Ramadan. No law in the tourist haven of Egypt forbids its citizens from doing so. Nevertheless, the six Christians are still in jail.

We urgently ask you to secure the immediate and unconditional release of Ashraf, Magdy, Osama, Nabil, Wahid and Hany Morris Ghatas.

Nagy aggodalommal vettük hírét, hogy 2009. január 22-én 3 év munkatáborral és több mint 2.100 dollár pénzbüntetéssel sújtották a keresztény Morris Ghatasz család (Port Szaid) hat testvérét, akik ramadánkor is nyitva tartották nappali kávézójukat. A turisták által látogatott Egyiptom polgárainak semmilyen törvény nem tiltja ezt. Ráadásul a hat keresztény testvér ma is börtönben van.

Kérjük, sürgősen és feltétel nélkül biztosítsa Asraf, Magdy, Oszama, Nabil, Vahid és Hany azonnali szabadlábra helyezését.
